Add Digital Signature to PDF Documents

JSignPdf is a freeware tool written in Java which enables users to add digital signatures to PDF documents. It can be used as a standalone application or as an Add-On in OpenOffice.org. The application is open source and require Java Runtime to run. You can add visible signatures to PDF files in the form of image or description location anywhere in the document and specified. It comes with pretty good features for the signatures. JSignPDF
Using the Visible signature settings, you can specify the location of your digital signature in the PDF file.
Features;

  • Visible signatures – image and/or description located visually in a PDF file (page and position can be specified)
  • Several different keystore types (as provided by Java)
  • Timestamps from authority in signature (TSA)
  • Certificate validation through CRL and/or OCSP
  • Setting certification level
  • Setting hash algorithm
  • PDF encryption and setting rights
  • Comprehensive Swing GUI
  • Support for batch processing (controlled by command line arguments, without GUI)
JSignPDF is very simple and yet a powerful tool to add digital signatures to PDF files.

Thanks for helping all by sharing detail about this great tool. So far I am using Adobe which automatically offers the feature of adding a digital signature. But its good to know about this option too. I will try it using the link shared.
